In August 2018, we implemented a new data process for archiving the past school year's data and loading current data for the new school year. For the convenience of our customers, the same automated method for archiving data will be used again this year. The automatic archive will take place 10 days before your start of school.
After the archive process, you will be rolled over to the 2019-20 School Year, and will no longer see 2018-19 data. Please take the time before your anticipated archive date to save or request last year’s data for your records.
Once the roll-over process is complete, your new student information for the 2019-2020 school year should be visible for schools/districts that have automated data imports scheduled for Hero. Please contact your district IT department to learn if your district pushes nightly student data files to Hero.
To ensure the correct teacher roster view, be sure to update your bell schedules and term settings to align with your first grading period. Go to https://setup.heropowered.com and select Bell Schedule from the left menu bar.
If you would like to request your school’s data or to have the data archived early, please send an email to datamanager@herok12.com with detailed instructions.
Lastly, If you would like your school’s prior year data to be deleted rather than archived, please fill out this form and send it to datamanager@herok12.com.
