What is covered in this article?
There are several "Statuses" to applications that are assigned as they move through the enrollment process.
The statuses flow, in general, in this consecutive order. Status names are in quotations.
(In the case of applications going through the lottery):
Lottery
1. Parents Submit Applications Before the Lottery
"Submitted" (Status of all applications when first submitted)
"Cancelled" (if canceled by admin or parent)
2. Lottery is Run
"Pre-offer" (those who get in)
"Waitlisted" (these are usually given a number, based on priority)
3. Offers are Made Public by School through SchoolMint
"Pre-offer" changes to "Offered"
"Waitlisted" parents are notified of their waitlist status
4. Parents Act on Offer
"Accepted" (parents accept an offer)
"Declined" (parents decline an offer)
"Rescinded" (the school revokes their offer, for whatever reason)
5. Parents Who Accept Can Now Register
"Registration in Progress"
"Registration Complete"
Waitlist
1. Parents Submit Applications
"Waitlisted" status and number automatically assigned.
"Cancelled" (if canceled by admin or parent)
2. Open Seats Become Available
"Waitlisted" students at the top change to "Pre-Offer"
3. Offers are Made Public by School through SchoolMint
"Pre-offer" changes to "Offered"
Remaining "Waitlisted" students keep status but change number, shifting upward.
4. Parents Act on Offer
"Accepted" (parents accept an offer)
"Declined" (parents decline an offer)
"Rescinded" (the school revokes their offer, for whatever reason)
5. Parents Who Accept Can Now Register
"Registration in Progress"
"Registration Complete"
