Does Hero Integrate with my SIS (Student Information System)?
Hero has the ability to import and export data. Schools/Districts can set up automated imports of Student and Schedule data via CSV or TXT files. These files should be configured to be exported from your SIS and uploaded to your schools/districts provided Hero FTP location.
If requested, Hero can also be configured to Export tracked behavior data in the same fashion via CSV or TXT files exported and uploaded to the Hero FTP.
Does my SIS allow for Hero integration?
Hero import and exports are completely customizable to work with any SIS data templates. Working with your School Data Team and/or the SIS support team, we can determine the available data for export, as well as the required data for imports. It is up to the School/District to determine whether the data required to use Hero can be provided via export by your SIS application.
What is required of my SIS in order to have Hero updated with Student/Schedule data?
Does your SIS allow you to export student and student schedule information via CSV or TXT file? If yes, does your SIS have the capability to upload this export to an FTP location? If yes, can this process be automated?
What is required of my SIS in order to have Hero update our Tardy information?
Does your SIS allow you to import Attendance data via CSV or TXT files? If yes, what data is required for this import (student id, date, time, etc….)? Can this import be automated?
How do I know that the integration is working?
It is recommended that the School/District review the integration daily during the first couple of weeks after it is configured. This is to ensure that the integration is up and running completely. If the School/District notices any issues or inconsistencies with their integration it is recommended to reach out to herosupport@schoolmint.com with the appropriate personnel required to review both the Hero and SIS configurations.
