INCENTIVES PLAYBOOK: Special Events
Option 1: Purchase Tickets at the Door
Whether students are attending an event during the school day, or after school hours - you can easily allow students to redeem Hero points at the door for admission into the event.
Set up a Hero table next to the ticket booth or entry. Use the mobile app to scan student IDs to redeem points, or use the Hero web portal to search for the student and redeem points to the event.
*In order to ensure that students do not redeem points they do not have, students can present their mobile app to confirm their number of points, or use the student lookup feature in the web portal to confirm their points prior to entering the event.
Option 2: Purchase Tickets Prior to the Event
Whether students are attending an event during the school day, or after school hours - you can require that students redeem their Hero points prior to the event to secure their spot in advance.
Designate a location and time when students are allowed to purchase their tickets. Consider setting this up in the cafeteria during lunches one week, or ask your advisory teachers to manage the purchase of tickets.
Some schools may give their students a paper ticket or wristband upon purchase to present on the date of the event, OR use the student mobile app and Hero compliance feature to generate virtual tickets!
Generate Virtual Tickets & VIP Lists of Attendees
Create a behavior code when students purchase a ticket to the event. Give the behavior code a default action that is compliable (Enable Reactions). By doing so, students will receive a virtual ticket to the event on their mobile app. Also, school users can generate a VIP list of students who purchased tickets to the event within the Compliance Report. School users can use the compliance report or compliance features to scan students into the event on the day of. Students who did not purchase a ticket will not appear on the compliance list.
