Which SIS Integration types can set up an SIS Connection?

SchoolMint has built an integration with a couple of SIS types. Here are the list of SIS types in which SchoolMint can read and/or write data.

• Export to SIS:
  • eSchoolPlus
  • Illuminate
  • ITCCS

Where do you set up the SIS Connection within SchoolMint?

If you'd like to set up an integration with SchoolMint to your SIS, please follow the following instructions:

1. Login to your SchoolMint Admin account and navigate to the correct enrollment year;
2. Go to Settings > Manage SIS Connection (note: if you do not see this option listed, please reach out to Support or your dedicated Customer Success Representative);
3. Click on Add SIS Connection;

From here, you will be taken to a screen where you can select which SIS type you would like to set up a connection with to SchoolMint. Both Aeries and PowerSchool require additional configuration, which the listed hyperlinks provide a more in-depth guide.

What information is required to set up an SIS Connection?

After selecting the appropriate SIS type from the dropdown, you will be required to enter the following information:

• Connection Name (create a unique name in the event of multiple connections)
• Base URL
• Client ID
• Client Secret

If this connection is for a production environment, please indicate Yes in the radio button. 

Before saving the connection, we recommend testing the connection. SchoolMint will ping the APIs to ensure the connection is valid prior to saving.

How do I maintain my annual connection?

At anytime, you may decide to add new schools or grade levels to your SIS. To update SchoolMint with the most up to date options, you will have to refresh your connection. In the SIS Connection page, select:

 "Please select the checkbox to retrieve the latest data (ie: schools, dates, and/or SIS Fields) from your SIS instance."

Click Next to view your refreshed list of options for schools, dates, FTEID, entry/exit dates, or SIS Fields.
